Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do house visits?
Yes. We do routine house visits (eg for vaccinations) from both clinics on Tuesday afternoons. We can, however make a house visit on any day for a more urgent matter. If your animal is particularly unwell though, we would always recommend coming into the hospital in case tests need to be performed.
How far will you travel for farm visits?
We regularly travel to farms as far south as Milton and as far north as Berry. We also have clients in Burrier, Budgong and Barrengarry.
Do you do payment plans?
Yes. We offer payment plans through Open Pay. Conditions and minimum limits apply so please contact the staff for more information.
What farm animals will you treat?
We treat a wide range of animals – cattle, sheep, horses, alpacas, goats, pigs, donkeys and even the odd camel.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are now required at Nowra (since COVID).
Do you offer discounts?
We offer a 10% discount on services for Defcom and seniors. We also offer a 10% discount on services to disability pension card holders. You will need to show proof for the discount to be applied.
My animal needs to stay in hospital overnight. Will anyone stay with them?
Our new, purpose built hospital in Nowra has an area where a vet or vet student can stay on site to monitor your animal more closely if their condition is serious. This enables us to provide a higher standard of overnight care to your animal than we could previously offer.
Do you have large animal facilities at the hospital?
Yes! The new purpose build hospital in Nowra has a horse crush, horse stable and yards. We also have large runs in the hospital to accommodate calves, goats and sheep.
