Many breeders now want to ensure they are mating their bitch at the optimal time to give the best chance of falling pregnant. We now offer in house progesterone testing. Monitoring this hormone can give a good indication of the best time to mate.

Should your dog have trouble mating naturally, we offer assisted mating and also artificial insemination (AI).

Confirming pregnancy and estimating litter size is important.  We are able to do this via ultrasound which is very safe and accurate.

Monitoring progesterone levels are also valuable in assessing when your bitch is likely to whelp (give birth).  For breeds such as English and French Bulldogs and Staffordshire Bull Terriers that may have trouble naturally giving birth, we can monitor progesterone to determine the safest time to perform an elective caesarean.
